插畫家 / 西班牙巴塞隆納

Hey Lauro! how you doing ? We know you since few years , but please introduce yourself to the audience.

Hello River, thanks for your interest in my work, I am very happy to be able to speak for your magazine.
It is very strange moment in the world but I think it is a good opportunity for creativity.
I am an art director and creativity is increasing for all market.

Last time we meet you were living in Bangkok, how did you end there and what you were working on at that time?

I really like Asia, it is a source of inspiration for my work. I was traveling and working in Thailand and Vietnam. I am currently in the Canary Islands where I am working on an art project for a Hotel. I am going to reform the decoration and the vacation experience. It is a good creative opportunity to be able to do it in my own homeland.

You have a very diverse portfolio working with different materials, surfaces and medias. What are the ones you feel more comfortable working with?

It is very interesting how my work adapts to different concepts, surfaces and clients. I always feel good with all the supports, the important thing is to be able to capture my art and personal style without any creative limit. I work a lot of different things but that is what makes my job interesting where every day is completely different.

What was your impressions on your first visit to Taiwan?

I remember when I got to Taipei at night and got caught looking at the billboards, the neon lights ... it was a very beautiful and exciting stroke of inspiration.
I have been positively surprised by the city, the culture and the human quality of the country, a very crazy modernity but made up of tranquility.

What do you think about the social media in the art world?

Technology helps us to show our work around the world in a very fast way, it is incredible. Social networks have helped to connect in an easy way and to grow as an artist surrounded by great contacts around the world. Instagram is the new paradise.

What are your upcoming projects for this year?

The current situation does not allow us to travel around the world, but fortunately I am working with local clients and new art and fashion projects in the Canary Islands. I am promoting using nature and open air spaces as new creative studios and laboratories.
