This week we have been invited to try an amazing Taiwanese restaurant, 鵝肉川 Goose Professor in the area of Shilin in Taipei. For those who are not familiar with the local Taiwanese culture, locals love meet in traditional restaurants where they can enjoy ton of Taiwanese dishes while drinking beer in a social relaxed vibe.
There are plenty of restaurants serving Taiwanese cuisine around Taiwan, but Goose Professor takes the experience to a new different level with super up-level dishes and delicious ingredients in a warm and comfortable space.
Undoubtedly 鵝肉川 Goose Professor specialize in traditional Taiwanese cuisine. One of the best-seller plates in the menu is the goose that they prepare in-house.
One of our favourite plate of the day was the 東坡肉 Dong Po Meat, a pan-frying and cooking pork belly named after the Song Dynasty poet and gastronome Su Dongpo. A dish that they start cooking since early in the morning as it takes several hours for them to cook.
The tender texture and the strong flavour of the sauce makes every bite a delicious experience.
香煎猪肝 Sauted Pork Liver
芋頭米粉 Rice Noodles with Taro. First time for us to see this ingredients combined, but surprisingly was really really nice.
Recommended for ordering as a started before the other dishes arrive.
