We visited this week one of the hidden gems of Taipei in form of bakery and cafe, with a three floor building in a very busy road between Ximen and Taipei main station.
Heritage is a perfect place for people who want to try a fusion of American confectionery with Taiwanese ingredients. The result? Guava Cakes, Sweet Basil Grapefruit Tarts, Traditional Cinnamon Rolls, Sea Salted Caramel Cheese Tarts and a long list of must-try cookies, brownies, pies and fruit soda drinks.


The story behind this iconic place and his name is simple yet interesting, the owner, a third generation family member, inherited the building from her grandparents and decided to convert it into a business, mixing her passion for baking with her childhood between Taiwan and United States.
After a hard work remodeling the building and decorating the interiors, Heritage now looks like a beautiful American bakery with the essence of the original house.
You will find inside some of the real family furniture, including a heavy old safe box and a big drawer they definitely match perfectly within the concept of the Bakery!


This one took all our attention, a Sweet Basil tart with Grapefruit.

We tried the fresh Kiwi and Cucumber Soda, perfect for the hot Taiwanese summer.

If you have the opportunity to visit them, don´t miss their signature cake!
The Guava Delight.

The interior design and decoration inside Heritage will make you feel at home with plenty of light, interesting art and comfortable furniture. Also the graphic design branding is on point with clear references of American typography and traditional finishing in gold.  


Another of their delicious options, the Green Apple Tart.
